Stokes is Metro MVP
JJ Crawford is first team all-league; Micah Ili-Meneese makes second team

Tyran Stokes was named MVP of the Metro League boys basketball Mountain Division as the No. 1 Rainier Beach Vikings claimed three individual player honors, tops in their division.
Viking freshman JJ Crawford was named to the all-league first team and junior Micah Ili-Meneese was named to the second team.
Rainier Beach finished atop the Metro Mountain Division with a perfect 14-0 record and average winning margin of 34.2 points.
The rest of the all-league first team included Yabi Aklog of Eastside Catholic, Nico Christofilis of Seattle Prep, Tytan McNeal of Eastside Catholic, and Brian Webster of O’Dea. McNeal was named Defensive Player of the Year and Jason Kerr of O’Dea earned Coach of the Year. Bishop Blanchet received the Sportsmanship Award.
Ohmono Bomet of Garfield, Josiah Bowman of O’Dea, Kellen Matt of Seattle Prep, Steve Sun of Eastside Catholic, joined Ili-Meneese on the second team.
In Metro’s Sound Division, comprised of the league’s smaller schools, Christian Fisher of Franklin was named Defensive Player of the Year and all-league first team. Franklin finished second in the division with a 12-4 record.
In Sound Division girls basketball, Khamille Chappell of Franklin was named first team all-league and Soule Robinson of Cleveland and Akeelah Sanh of Franklin were named to the second team. Franklin finished third in the division with a 10-5 record.
